HOLIDAY JOY COMING YOUR WAY

May I be one of the many to wish you Happy Holidays and an adventurous New Year.

Our Christmas will be peaceful and quiet but none the less precious. Our family flew in and drove to spend 4 days with us at Thanksgiving so Christmas is happily shared with the other side of the family.

My New Year’s goal is to make videos of my art process which I then post to social media. I am following the lead of Mary Gilkerson via her blog and UTube presentations. She is a great teacher if you are looking for some artistic input.

OK, I said it out loud so now I have to keep my new resolution.

HIGH KEY PAINTING

FEATURED PAINTING     MIXED MEDIA IN THE CITY

I like  high key paintings, the ones with the pastel soft colors that make you feel like your are wrapped in a warm blanket on a cold day. Most of the time I start out with the intention of painting using soft colors and then something takes over where dark value contrast sneak in. Funny how old habits are hard to break even when I know what my painting goal was.

With this collage I held the course with my high key palette and before my eyes a city scape appeared. Yea team!

HOT OFF OF THE EASEL

                                                              Urban Pirate

Each Friday you can find me painting with a wonderful group of artists at the Museum of Art.  The open studio has a new live model each week and today it was our monitor because the regular model didn't show up. He did a great job!

Just to add pizzazz, Keith put on a red bandanna which made him look like an urban pirate. I think I am finding that painting the human figure is my passion so I will keep on honing my skills.

I would be a delight to hear your comments.

BIRDS OF A FEATHER

FEATURED PAINTING    http:/www.koseroriginalart.com

BIRDS OF A FEATHER

Off the Deep End again; which is the new official  term for creative extremes.

Using my home made paste paper I fashioned a mamma bird with three little fledglings on a geometric background.

The colors are a bit bold, the design wonky and the birds have big confident personalities.
